In her diverse career, she managed a private practice, practiced psychiatry at the Department of Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinics, taught bioethics to medical students and psychiatric residents, and reviewed research for a university college of medicine. She lives with her husband and their three dogs in Tampa Bay, FL.
